Pray

We can't do it alone.

Please pray with us!  We fully submit our plans, our lives, our marriage, our family and our ministry to the Lord.  With God's guidance through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, we trust and believe that God's plan for our lives will be revealed to us so that we can be the most effective for His Kingdom.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 4:5-6

Current Prayer Requests

1. Safe travels around the USA as we visit sponsors and supporting churches and share about God’s work in Kenya (driving and flying to 10 different states).

2. Good health and energy with all of the travels, speaking opportunities and meetings- especially healing for Daneen’s neck and back pain.

3. God’s wisdom and peace through the daily decisions (where to go, who to see, what to do) and readjustment to life in America.

4. God’s financial provision for us personally and for the ministries that we are serving.

5. God to reveal his plans for our future in his perfect timing (where we will live and what we will do).  

6. Complete and total healing for Daneen's neck and back pain.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

Previous Prayer Requests

June 2014
1. Us to stay focused and have wisdom to finish well in the remaining 2 months here.

2. Us to have good health and well-being.

3. Us to prioritize relationships and saying proper goodbyes.

4. Our hearts to be full of love, joy and gratitude, and focused on Jesus, even as we say goodbye to our home and ministry.

5. Our hearts to be at peace, trusting this move and transition are from the Lord.

6. The many unknowns, challenges and obstacles which come with leaving and transitioning to something new.

7. Our future plans.  For God, in His perfect timing, to reveal the next part of the journey.

Sept 2013

1. Wisdom as we teach so that we use our time with the students efficiently and effectively and to instill Jesus-centered principles along the way.

2. Pain relief and healing for Daneen's ongoing chronic neck pain.

3. The Faith E Team from Billings, MT coming in October to have hearts ready to serve and open to what God will do in them and through them.  Pray for us to be prepared and rested for the team's arrival.

4. Stamina and energy as we get into regular routines and take on more responsibilities. 

5. God to clearly lead both of us in the roles and responsibilities He wants us to focus on during our time in Kenya. 

6. Clean-up, restoration and rebuilding of Longmont and surrounding towns effected by the recent 500-year flood!  (Daneen's Colorado hometown.) May the Church shine

in response!

Aug/Sept 2013

1. Post-Secondary Scholarship Recipients and other CGA graduates who hope to join college/university in the next couple of months. Pray that God would direct them to the right college and the right course for them, and that He would provide the finances for them to continue in their education. 

2. Suba Lakers success on the field but more importantly off the field in developing Christ-like character.

3. Secondary Reunion (Aug 26-29) to be deeply impactful to the students. Pray for Pastor Ken, from Emmanuel Baptist Church in Nairobi, as he prepares to share with the students. 

4. Becoming One and learning to live sacrificially for our spouse. 

5. God to clearly lead both of us in the roles and responsibilities He wants us to focus on during our time in Kenya.  

July 2013
1. Pray for our marriage.  Pray that we will learn to love each other sacrificially, and that we will set up good habits, routines, and boundaries that will build a strong foundation for a successful lifelong marriage.
2. Pray for God to clearly lead both of us in the roles and responsibilities He wants us to focus on during our time in Kenya.
3. Pray for our transition to life in Mbita; for Joe as a married man, and for Daneen getting back into living in Africa, a new town and new community.
4. Pray for Daneen's back and neck pain. Pray that God would heal her and give her the strength and energy she needs to serve Him fully and engage in the community.
